The
Olof Palme International Fundation is a non-profit organisation created in 1989 by Lisbeth Palme, Felipe González, Javier Pérez de Cuellar, Joan Reventós and Anna Balletbò, among others, to pay tribute to the figure of Olof Palme. Our aim is to work in the spirit of the Swedish politician for democracy, human rights, peace and sustainable development and to promote solidarity around the world.
FIOP’s Philosophy is based on the main thoughts and Works of Olof Palme: Peace, Disarmament, Conflict resolution, Solidarity and Cooperation.
To reach these main objectives, FIOP is organised around two areas: education in developed societies and action in the South. These are the cornerstones of FIOP, which allow us to carry on with our task to build a better world.
